Thyme Café, owned by Chef Sister Marie will open in June of 2006. This 1600 square foot restaurant is located at 4173 MacArthur Blvd, in Oakland and will feature such entrées as pasta with chicken, crab, salmon, tofu, eggplant, turkey and dressing, meatloaf, Cuban black beans, red beans and rice, corn beef and cabbage, Caribbean peas and rice, a variety of fresh salads and a selection of vegetarian dishes. Thyme Café’s seafood gumbo is available upon request. Tasty bakery items, such as lavender shortbread cookies, pound cakes and fruit cobblers (including those with a reduced-fat option) will be available. As a special treat, tea service will be provided in the afternoon. Catering services will also be provided.
